She's charged with lying about her handling of alleged neglect case

SCHENECTADY -- A caseworker for Schenectady County Child Protective Services who is facing criminal charges related to an alleged child-neglect case is disputing claims that she lied last year about making home visits and taking a severely undernourished infant to the doctor.
"I made the home visits," Milagros Noriega said during a telephone interview Monday about accusations that surfaced last week when a six-count indictment was unsealed and she was arraigned in County Court on charges of official misconduct, endangering the welfare of child, making a punishable false written statement, offering a false instrument for filing and falsifying business records.
