San Jose police arrested a 25-year-old child care worker on suspicion of inappropriately touching five girls during their after-school program at Trace Elementary School, and now detectives are investigating whether there were more possible victims.

Keith Woodhouse, of San Jose, is in custody with no bail at Santa Clara County Jail.

Santa Clara County prosecutors on Friday charged Woodhouse with 14 counts of lewd acts on a child younger than 14. San Jose police first got the case Jan. 19.

Since August, Woodhouse has been working for the Child Development Center, which operates an after-school program on the Trace campus.

Deputy district attorney Steve Fein said five girls, all younger than 10, complained that Woodhouse touched them inappropriately and all the touching was done in a classroom setting.

Fein said each count carries a possible maximum prison sentence of 15 years to life. FULL STORY
