Liberty Quotes

"Once a nation parts with the control of its currency and credit, it matters not who makes the nations laws. Usury, once in control, will wreck any nation. Until the control of the issue of currency and credit is restored to government and recognized as its most sacred responsibility, all talk of the sovereignty of parliament and of democracy is idle and futile." -William Lyon Mackenzie King (1874-1950) Prime Minister of Canada 1935

"I am a Canadian,
free to speak without fear,
free to worship in my own way,
free to stand for what I think right,
free to oppose what I believe wrong, or
free to choose those who shall govern my country.
This heritage of freedom I pledge to uphold for myself and all mankind."

Justice Justice

June 29, 2011 - 10:41 am - by Zombie

I demand justice justice.

No, I don’t have a stutter. What I want is justice for the word “justice” itself.

Because, you see, “justice” has been hijacked by the American left and is now their exclusive weapon. It is no longer a politically neutral word; whenever you see the word “justice” — especially preceded by another noun — it invariably is meant to convey some far-left position.

A History of Crimes Against Justice

The degradation of “justice” started with the phrase “social justice,” a concept which was originally only a religious term but which was later adopted (and re-defined) by the American left to have political connotations. Use of the word “justice” as a leftist buzzword was given a big boost in 1971 with the publication of A Theory of Justice by philosopher John Rawls, which focused on “justice” as the axle around which liberal thought rotated.

Let a Hundred Justices Bloom

In the mid-’70s, the end of the Vietnam War deprived the professional left of its main protest topic, so they cast around for something new to whine about. In the absence of any glaringly urgent crisis, such as a war, they settled on a scattershot array of issues which could be unified under the generalized label “social justice.” Any aspect of American society which was insufficiently leftist suddenly needed a good dose of “social justice” to rectify things.

This overall blanket term was OK for a while, but with the arrival of the new millennium there was a rapid expansion of the “justice” concept. With breathtaking speed, justice-related terms proliferated exponentially in the early 2000s, and within a decade it became nearly impossible to even keep track of all the different “justices” we were expected to achieve.

The trend started with the two justice titans: “economic justice,” and “racial justice.” And someone must have thought: Why stop there? Soon we started seeing demands for “environmental justice” and “reproductive justice.” And then the floodgates were opened. The global warming scare brought us “climate justice“; the drive for socialized medicine became “health care justice“; amnesty for illegals transmogrified into “immigrant justice“; and on and on it went. The first thing I thought of was Family Justice.

Sure doesn't mean what you might hope it means.

Family Justice centers are where families are destroyed.

LEARNING TO BE HELPLESS

Words by Kim

In the 1970's a researcher named Martin Seligman discovered a curious side-effect of some experiments he was performing on dogs.

In these experiments he had three groups of dogs. One group was placed, one at a time, into a cage that had an electrified floor and no way to escape from the shocks delivered to them through the floor. A second group was placed in the same set-up but they had the option of jumping over a barrier to get away from the electric shocks. The third group were not exposed to electric shocks at all.

After delivering shocks to the first two groups Seligman then put them all, one at a time, into a cage where they could escape being shocked. Only two of the three groups escaped. Most of the dogs who had been unable to escape the previous shocks did not even try to escape despite having the option to do so in the new experiment.

Seligman coined the term "Learned Helplessness" to describe the condition of the dogs who failed to escape even when escape was possible. He believed they had learned escape was not possible so they did not even try any more. FULL STORY

TIME on the Constitution: 'Does It Still Matter?'

Only if Liberty still matters

"The Constitution, which at any time exists, 'till changed by an explicit and authentic act of the whole People, is sacredly obligatory upon all." --George Washington, September 19, 1796
Unmitigated Ignorance
In celebration of the 235th anniversary of the signing of our Declaration of Independence, Time Magazine, the "journal of record" for the Leftist Illiterati (or as they prefer to be known, "the intelligentsia"), published a cover story featuring their errant interpretation of our Constitution. On an image of the shredding of that venerable old document Time posited this question: "Does it still matter?"
The short answer is, only if Liberty and the Rule of Law still matter. But Time's managing editor, Richard Stengel, begs to differ, having discarded Rule of Law for the rule of men.
In his boorish 5,000-word treatise on the issue, Stengel unwittingly exposes the Left's patently uninformed and self-serving interpretation of our Constitution, and he aptly defines their adherence to a "living constitution." That adulterated version of its original intent is the result of revision by decades of radical judicial diktats, rather than in the manner prescribed by our Constitution's Article V.
Stengel opined, "To me the Constitution is a guardrail. It's for when we are going off the road and it gets us back on. It's not a traffic cop that keeps us going down the center." According to Stengel, then, our Constitution just exists to keep us between the ditches and entitles us to swerve all over the road without consequence. Of course, that is hardly what our Founders intended, but Stengel insists that to ask "what did the framers want is kind of a crazy question."
Exhibiting a keen sense of the obvious, Stengel observes that times have changed and that our Founders "did not know about" all the advancements of the present era. Thus he concludes our Constitution must be pliable, or, as Thomas Jefferson forewarned in 1819, "a mere thing of wax in the hands of the judiciary which they may twist and shape into any form they please."
Stengel insists, "The Constitution works so well precisely because it is so opaque, so general, so open to various interpretations," rather than, as "originalists contend ... a clear, fixed meaning."
To assert that our Founders intended the Constitution to be "so opaque, so general, so open to various interpretations" is beyond any accurate reading of history. As noted previously, our Founders provided a method to amend our Constitution in Article V. The problem, of course, is that Stengel and his Leftist cadres know their agenda would never pass a Constitutional Convention and, thus, they circumvent Article V by discarding Rule of Law in deference to their own rules.
Consequently, we now have a Constitution in exile, one that is little more than a straw man amid increasingly politicized courts that serve the special interests of political constituencies rather than interpreting the document's plain language, as judges are bound by sacred oath to do (Article VI, Section 3).
While it is highly tempting, any effort to rebut Stengel's erroneous claims point by point would violate my own rule against swapping spit with a jackass. However, as it is the eve of Independence Day, let us, for the record, revisit Essential Liberty as "endowed by our Creator" according to our Declaration.
Signing of the Declaration
The natural rights of man outlined in our Declaration are enshrined in our Constitution as evident in its most comprehensive explication, The Federalist Papers, a defense of that venerable document by its author, James Madison, and Founders Alexander Hamilton and John Jay.
Here is what our Founders actually did write about our Constitution and Rule of Law.
George Washington: "The basis of our political systems is the right of the people to make and to alter their Constitutions of Government. But the Constitution, which at any time exists, 'till changed by an explicit and authentic act of the whole People, is sacredly obligatory upon all. ... If in the opinion of the people the distribution or modification of the constitutional powers be in any particular wrong, let it be corrected by an amendment in the way which the Constitution designates. But let there be no change by usurpation; for though this in one instance may be the instrument of good, it is the customary weapon by which free governments are destroyed."
Thomas Jefferson: "Our peculiar security is in possession of a written Constitution. Let us not make it a blank paper by construction. ... If it is, then we have no Constitution. ... [T]o consider the judges as the ultimate arbiters of all constitutional questions ... would place us under the despotism of an oligarchy. ... In questions of power, then, let no more be heard of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution."
Alexander Hamilton: "If it were to be asked, 'What is the most sacred duty and the greatest source of our security in a Republic?' The answer would be, 'An inviolable respect for the Constitution and Laws -- the first growing out of the last. ... A sacred respect for the constitutional law is the vital principle, the sustaining energy of a free government. ... [T]he present Constitution is the standard to which we are to cling. Under its banners, bona fide must we combat our political foes -- rejecting all changes but through the channel itself provides for amendments."
James Madison: "I entirely concur in the propriety of resorting to the sense in which the Constitution was accepted and ratified by the nation. In that sense alone it is the legitimate Constitution. And if that be not the guide in expounding it, there can be no security for a consistent and stable, more than for a faithful exercise of its powers."
Stengel's biggest whopper, however, is one I simply can't let pass without rebuttal. He writes, "If the Constitution was intended to limit the federal government, it sure doesn't say so. Article I, Section 8, the longest section of the longest article of the Constitution, is a drumroll of congressional power."
My chief witness against this ridiculous claim would be James Madison, "the Father of our Constitution." As Madison wrote in Federalist No. 45, "The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite. The former will be exercised principally on external objects, as war, peace, negotiation, and foreign commerce; with which last the power of taxation will, for the most part, be connected. The powers reserved to the several states will extend to all the objects which, in the ordinary course of affairs, concern the lives, liberties, and properties of the people, and the internal order, improvement and prosperity of the State."
That piece of trenchant prose would, of course, became the basis for the Tenth Amendment, which clearly and tightly limits the authority and scope of the federal government.
Before Stengel next ventures to opine on our Constitution, which for him is clearly uncharted territory, perhaps he should read a copy of "Essential Liberty."
Shredding Rule of Law
Time magazine is but one of a surfeit of liberal propaganda tools which play supporting roles in the primary assault on our Constitution.
The lead actor is Barack Hussein Obama who, along with his cadre of "useful idiots," are systematically dismantling the last vestiges of our Constitution's Rule of Law mandate.
As we prepare to observe this Independence Day anniversary, our nation is once again confronting a perilous threat to Liberty.
Thomas Paine once wrote, "[A]n unwritten constitution is not a constitution at all." I beg you take note: Our Constitution is being "unwritten" at an unprecedented pace. Obama has mounted a well-organized and well-funded effort to "fundamentally transform" our nation into a socialist state by thus deconstructing our Constitution. He has deserted his oath to "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States," in accordance with Article II, Section 1, and clearly never intended to "take care that the Laws be faithfully executed," as specified in Section 3. As was the case at the Dawn of American Liberty, we are but a small band of American Patriots facing an empire of statists, but we are steadfast in our sacred oath to sustain our Constitution. Please help us combat the ideology and propaganda of the Left in order to restore the integrity of our Constitution.
On behalf of Liberty, if you are able, please support our Independence Day Campaign. We still must raise $112,448 to meet our goal and there are just 4 days left.
Semper Vigilo, Fortis, Paratus et Fidelis!

Announcing the Summer of 76 Campaign!
Today we are launching our Summer of 76 campaign. The Summer of 76 campaign recalls the fateful summer of 1776 when America declared its independence. But it also bridges the two foundational documents of freedom, spanning a summer of 76 days from Independence Day on July 4 to Constitution Day on September 17 (the 224th anniversary of the U.S. Constitution). The campaign will involve two phases to propel the Parental Rights Amendment forward.

Phase 1 of our campaign engages the community, and it begins July 4th – but you can get started right now! It is time to “gear up” by recruiting local volunteers, holding petition drives, joining our social network army, hosting fund-raising events, and scheduling meetings between you and your congressman to be held during the congressional recess period in August. And what better time to get started than during July 4th Weekend?

Phase 2 begins on or around August 1, when we begin to engage Congress. First we plan to introduce the Amendment with its lead sponsor and bill number. Then Congress’ recess starts August 8, and for four weeks volunteers like you will attend Town Halls or schedule sit-down meetings in your congressman’s office and urge him to cosponsor the Amendment. Then, when Congress returns to Washington on September 6, we will have a major phone blitz to be sure they follow through and sign on to cosponsor the Amendment.
Action Items
There is something here for everyone, but don’t try to do it all. Hey, it’s Independence Day weekend. Enjoy the celebration of freedom – just take the Parental Rights Amendment along! Find one or more of these projects you can do, and we will provide the resources and direction you will need:

1. Volunteer at the district or state level. Whatever your strengths and interests, we want to get you plugged in. Just click your state here and email the contact person - Jonathan or your state coordinator - to volunteer. Be sure to let them know where you are, and how you would like to help.

2. Draw a crowd. People will come for a yard sale, car wash, or barbecue – and you can ask them to sign the petition while they’re there! Click here for more ideas on how you can host a fund-raiser or other event that actually serves as a petition drive.

3. Join the social networking army. If you’re active on Twitter, Facebook, or any other network, please fill out the form here so we can send you inside information that you can help us take public! (Use user name tweeter and password network.)

4. Gather petitions. Even if you don’t do yard sales, all you need are a clipboard, a pen and a few copies of the petition. Gather as many signatures as you can and mail them in! Why not get started this weekend?

5. Become a Congregational Contact. Over the course of the campaign, we are going to release some significant tools for sharing about parental rights that will be great to pass on to your faith community. We will also provide a bulletin handout for Parent’s Day on July 24. Check with your congregation’s leadership about sharing these tools with your worship community!

6. Schedule a local meeting with your congressman. Congress will be home in August, so call your congressman’s local office for an appointment. Next, please fill out this quick form so we can track which lawmakers are hearing about the Amendment. Then, why not gather a few friends to go with you?

7. Donate! Ramped-up efforts involve ramped-up expense, and the Summer of 76 is certainly no time to drop the ball. As we prepare to introduce the Amendment and push it forward, every dollar counts. Please give as generously as you can to fuel this major campaign for parental rights.

There is a lot to be done in the next couple of months, from Independence Day to Constitution Day. Working together, let’s make this Summer of 76 one we never forget – the summer the Parental Rights Amendment took America by storm!

Sincerely,

Judge faced with Potential Landmark Ruling in Judicial Corruption Fight BAILS

Wednesday, 29 June 2011 00:00
William M. Windsor
Lawless America

schwall-craig-bailed
Judge Craig L. Schwall, Sr. of the Fulton County Superior Court appears to have BAILED on William M. Windsor's lawsuit.

It appears that the necessity that he render a decision on whether a Temporary Restraining Order will be issued against 58 federal judges and judicial and government employees pursuant to a lawsuit charging them with racketeering and corruption motivated Judge Schwall to do a disappearing act.

On June 29, 2011 just after 5:00 pm, the docket in the case shows "TRANSFER" dated June 28, 2011.

This is an extremely important case for those who care about the fight against judicial corruption.  Hundreds of non-attorneys (for the most part) have dedicated time to researching case law to assist me.

This Fulton County Superior Court case presents an opportunity to get a court ruling here in Georgia that will pave the way for federal judges to be prosecuted for their corrupt criminal acts!  MUST SEE FULL STORY

CUT THE FRAUD

Here's the very tip-top frosting on the cake of the damnable FRAUD that CPS is- Do the exact opposite these communists are telling you-

Action Alert: Call the White House. Urge the President to protect children and families in the budget negotiations because THESE CUTS WON'T HEAL!

BACKGROUND
Vice President Joseph Biden had been leading negotiations with key members of Congress to reduce the deficit. These negotiations have hit a roadblock, and President Barack Obama is now taking a more active role. He is meeting with Senate leadership this week. The Administration supports including increased revenues to protect people with low and moderate incomes, but they need to hear from YOU.

The negotiators are working towards $4 trillion in savings over the next 10 to 12 years, and are trying to figure out how to do it. At this time there is little agreement with respect to what to cut. On the one hand, some members that have staked out a position to reduce the deficit solely through spending cuts, while others favor including revenue increases in the final agreement as a more realistic means to achieving a lower deficit without jeopardizing services that meet basic human needs and offer a safety net to our nation's most vulnerable.

The House budget proposes steep Medicaid cuts that after 10 years would force 19 million people to lose Medicaid coverage. In addition, it would repeal the Affordable Care Act, leaving approximately 17 million individuals who would be newly eligible for Medicaid under its provisions uninsured.

ACTION NEEDED

1. CALL the White House.
Call 1-888-245-0215 toll-free, and you'll be connected to the White House Comment Line. Call NOW and tell the President and Vice President:

"Hold firm and prevent harmful cuts or caps to low-income family- and child-serving programs in the negotiations to reduce the deficit. Please insist on fair increases in revenues to prevent reckless cuts to Medicaid and other essential services because These Cuts Won't Heal."

2. CALL your senators, especially if you are in one of the following states:

Hawaii: Senator Inouye
Illinois: Senator Durbin
Maine: Senators Snowe and Collins
Montana: Senator Baucus
Nevada: Senator Reid
North Dakota: Senator Conrad
Virginia: Senator Warner

Call 1-866-922-4970 toll-free, and you'll be connected to the Capitol Hill switchboard. Ask for your senators. Call NOW and share this suggested message:

"Please oppose harmful cuts or caps to low-income family- and child-serving programs in the negotiations to reduce the deficit. Please support fair increases in revenues to prevent reckless cuts to Medicaid and other essential services. It's important because These Cuts Won't Heal!"
