Free Lobbying Webinar Wednesday This week, Congress has to wrap up the issue of the U.S. debt. Next week, they are scheduled to head back to their districts so that you can reach out to them and tell them what is important to you. It’s time to urge their support for the Parental Rights Amendment!
Last week we posted sample talking points and a lobbying how-to guide to our site. In addition, we are offering a webinar on both from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. EDT tomorrow, Wednesday, August 3. Register here if you can attend. (Thanks to our friends at HSLDA for sharing their webinar hosting technology.)
If you can’t make the webinar, or if it fills up before you can register, relax. We will record it and make it available online by Friday of this week. Just visit parentalrights.org/webinar to watch it at your leisure (Friday or later).
On a related note to those awaiting our legal professionals’ webinar recording from June 23, we expect to have that taken care of in the next couple of weeks. We regret the failure of the original recording, and we are scheduling the re-recording as soon as we can. It has taken longer than we’d like, but we have not forgotten this project. Other Upcoming Events The Amendment will be introduced soon. When it is, we will get you the bill number and a link to the actual text as presented at the Government Printing Office so you can share these with your congressman.
Also, perhaps as soon as next weekend we will have a new trailer/mini-movie to promote the Amendment. If you want to be part of the network army to promote the link in advance of the Tuesday email release, take a moment to sign up now. (Enter user name tweeter and password network.) Then, I’ll send you the link early so you can tweet it, post it, or share it on Facebook Sunday evening through Tuesday morning on the week it becomes available.
Finally, remember our next call blitz is coming up September 6-16 as a follow-up to the summer recess visits. Take some time over the next 5 weeks to help us grow our email network as large as possible to maximize the impact of that blitz.
