Dear Colleagues:
Connecticut DCF has finally published its compliance with PA 11-113, the so-called “DCF Mini-Miranda Law.” Please see attached. Adults who are interviewed by DCF must now be advised, in advance, that they can and should seek a lawyer prior to speaking to DCF. This will also, hopefully, help to stop secret talks with the kids in school. It will stop DCF barging into your home under veiled threats of otherwise seizing the kids.
