Additionally, the new CBX features a monthly message from JooYeun Chang, the Associate Commissioner of the Children's Bureau, and a monthly, rotating spotlight theme. This month, CBX is spotlighting LGBTQ Youth. Subscribe to CBX at https://www.childwelfare.gov/admin/subscribe Updates to the Child Welfare Outcomes Report Data Website The Child Welfare Outcomes Report Data website has been updated to provide the latest 2009-2012 statistics from the National Child Abuse and Neglect Data System (NCANDS) and the Adoption and Foster Care Analysis and Reporting System (AFCARS). The site was also updated with a new reporting feature that increases capabilities for viewing race/ethnicity data. http://cwoutcomes.acf.hhs.gov/data/ What's New Parenting a Child Who Has Experienced Abuse or Neglect Helps parents (birth, foster, and adoptive) and other caregivers better understand the challenges of caring for a child who has experienced maltreatment and points to resources available for support. https://www.childwelfare.gov/pubs/parenting_CAN.cfm Updates Addressing the Needs of Young Children in Child Welfare: Part C-Early Intervention Services Provides an overview of the Part C referral provisions in the 2003 reauthorization of the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act (CAPTA) and in the Individuals With Disabilities Education Improvement Act of 2004 (IDEA) and describes the intersection of child welfare services and early intervention with young children. https://www.childwelfare.gov/pubs/partc/ Did You Know?
