Child Welfare Evaluation Virtual Summit SeriesThe Children's Bureau is pleased to announce the Child Welfare Evaluation Virtual Summit Series and the release of the first 2 of 17 videos. "Cost Analysis in Program Evaluation" (Parts 1 & 2) introduces concepts and steps to perform cost analysis in child welfare that can be applied by agency directors and managers, project directors, and evaluators.Cost Analysis in Program Evaluation: Parts 1 and 2 The Children's Bureau also launched two important new documents alongside the Child Welfare Evaluation Virtual Summit Series: Cost Analysis in Program Evaluation: A Guide for Child Welfare Researchers and Service Providers (2013) This guide demonstrates how cost analysis, when integrated with program evaluation, can promote a better understanding of key child welfare program components, implementation, and unit costs. A Roadmap for Collaborative and Effective Evaluation in Tribal Communities (2013) The Children's Bureau formed a Tribal Evaluation Workgroup that created a shared vision for the future of Tribal child welfare evaluation and a guide for developing culturally and scientifically rigorous evaluation. National Child Abuse Prevention Month 2014This April, National Child Abuse Prevention Month is celebrating the theme "Making Meaningful Connections" to help protect children and youth and strengthen families.
