Oh please. Who knows anything about CPS?
Think about this scenario-
Go to sleep, your 2 year old opens the screen door and wanders outside for 5 minutes, and YOU get charged for NEGLECT.
And if the CPS witch happens to have a spare opening at a foster home or residential treatment center, YOUR child will be there PROMPTLY, more than likely doped, and YOU find yourself in the unconstitutional family court of NO Due Process.
No "bad" jury decisions to worry about, because YOU GET NO JURY. You really don't even get to offer a DEFENSE.
There are a bunch of us who are dumbfounded by the Casey Anthony decision. But a new, even more insane law isn't the solution.
If Casey Anthony's case had gone to family court, she would have been crucified forever, and her name put on THE LIST so she wouldn't ever be able to get a job again.
What's more, you would have never heard a word about it on the news.

As Fox personality Shepard Smith says (while gritting his teeth) when arguing with some stupid politician about it (a new law)- "There was no missing child in this case. Caylee was DEAD and Casey knew it".
AMAZING, TOTALLY AMAZING; SHE DOES AWAY WITH HER OWN CHILD TO CONTINUE HER CHILDISH BEHAVIOR, AND WALKS AWAY, FREE AS A BIRD (OF COURSE, IF SHE DOES GET CHARGED WITH CHILD NEGLECT, WHY, SHE'S ALREADY SPENT 3 YRS IN A VERY NICE PRISON WHERE SHE TELLS MOMMY & DADDY TO BRING IN HER OWN TOILETRIES AND DVD'S!} AND WHO PAID FOR HER LEGAL DEFENSE? SHE DIDN'T HAVE A PUBLIC PRETENDER, DID SHE?
ReplyDeleteBTW: BACK IN 1982, A YOUNG PREGNANT WOMAN WAS REPORTED MISSING IN NJ, SO AN APB WAS PUT OUT; A FEW MILES, ACROSS THE FILTHY HUDSON RIVER, HER BODY WAS FOUND WITH A HOLE IN HER SKULL; DID NYPD CHECK THE APB?? NO, THEY BROUGHT HER BODY TO THE MEDICAL EXAMINER, AND AFTER HE TOOK ONE PIC OF HER NAKED BODY, HE ORDERED HER BODY TO BE DUMPED IN POTTER'S FIELD; NO ONE IN NY BOTHERED TO CHECK THE APB...OR TO EVEN TRY TO FIND WHO THIS YOUNG WOMAN WAS; NEARLY 20 YEARS LATER, HER KILLER WALKS AWAY FROM PRISON WITH A SLAP ON THE WRIST BECAUSE HIS FAMILY COULD HIRE A NICE EXPENSIVE ATTORNEY!
WHAT'S THE POINT OF MAKING IT AN OFFENSE NOT TO REPORT A CHILD OR ADULT MISSING, WHILE THE OFFICERS OF COURTS AND POLICE STATIONS IGNORE THE APB IN THE FIRST PLACE?? AND LET THOSE WHO CAN AFFORD NICE SUITS TO REPRESENT THEM TO GET AWAY WITH FIRST DEGREE MURDER???
