Oregon- An objective is getting children to focus on positive emotions
The Linn County Public Health Department, Linn-Benton Community College and Kidco Head Start are partnering to teach children about healthy ways of expressing themselves during National Children’s Mental Health Month.

“We are working county-wide and we’re all doing the same things,” said Debbie Ashton, education coordinator for Kidco Head Start. “We want to help child care providers and teachers teach youngsters how they can build strong, positive relationships.” FULL STORY
I left a comment there-
Technically, there was a Children's Mental Health Awareness Day on May 3, 2011 and then there's National Mental Health Awareness Month (May 2011). So somebody has things a tad mixed up.
Speaking personally, I think this is another one of those preposterous, gnat-straining, government money incinerating, socialist programs that we could easily do without.
