Supreme Court: The case is moot
The Supreme Court ruled today that the case is moot because there is no chance that S.G. ever will be in danger of facing this kind of ordeal again.
Therefore the Supreme Court "vacated" the 9th Circuit decision. In the 9th Circuit it is, in effect, back to square one; as if the 9th Circuit had never ruled one way or the other.
