NEWS9 Takes Firsthand Look At Aftermath Of Child Neglect

Updated: 7:59 pm EDT May 16, 2011

BELMONT COUNTY, Ohio -- A refrigerator without food, a lack of clothing and living conditions so deplorable even police had difficultly describing it -- this is what some local children have called home.

Officials across the Ohio Valley have reported a startling number of child abuse and neglect cases they're handling, and Martins Ferry police gave NEWS9 an inside look at one home in which parents were accused of endangering their children.

The cleanup has already started at 1830 Colerain Pike -- even the gas company has been at the house working -- but police said it was a different story on April 29.

On a video provided to NEWS9 from police, officers are seen speaking with the children and homeowner.

"Are you here to help?" a child asks an officer. "I'm so hungry."

Police who went to the home said it was difficult to describe the conditions the children were living in.

"Aren't you cold, buddy?" one asks a child.

In the entire home, there were some condiments, beans and one package of frozen food. The homeowner told an officer, "Honestly, we're all hurting on food right now, but I just got food stamps."

...."You have to get a driver's license to drive a car. There should be some sort of license to have a kid," McFarland (the low IQ pompous fat cop) said  FULL STORY  Don't miss the video there

They don't say whether this family got HELP, or if they got fed into the insane CPS meat grinder.

  1. If we took the money that our current government spends to harm our kids we could turn this country around and be proud of America again. Yes?
