I left a nice comment there-

CPS is NOT the police.

CPS are NOT investigators.

CPS are not competent or useful for any purpose whatsoever.

CPS is a Federal Funding incinerator, a massive fraud upon the Social Security system, and an Organized Crime Ring.

Why DOES CPS exist?

  1. Why does CPS exist? It's a profitable business.

  2. Apparently it is a highly profitable business.

Not what people normally expect from government.

  3. It's good for the economy. Think of it as a form of corporate or small business welfare. It ensures lawyers will get work. It ensures that shrinks will have plenty of foster kids or parents as clients.

  4. If I want to take that money away from CPS and their colluding contractors and redistribute it to the needy little people, would that make me a good Democrat?

  5. Actually it would be fiscally conservative.

It's cheaper to help a family than it is to keep the kids in foster care.

The system sucks just wouldn't get so much out of it.
