Sen. Bates proposes bill designed to reduce foster care placements

MEDFORD, Ore. - An Oregon Senate bill introduced this week would expand a program that has been successful in Jackson County across the entire state.

Senate Bill 196, the Foster Care Reinvestment Act, introduced by State Senator Alan Bates (D- Medford), reinvests funding currently reserved for foster care into innovative family services that are reducing the need for foster care placements. FULL STORY
