Great News: Another State Resolution Passes
March 10, 2011
Dear Champion of Parental Rights,
Idaho yesterday became the third state resolved to call on the U.S. Congress to propose the Parental Rights Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. While there was some debate in the Idaho House in early February, the Senate yesterday voted unanimously and without debate to pass the memorial, HJM 1.
Montana stands poised to pass a similar resolution today or tomorrow, while South Dakota and Louisiana already passed similar measures last year – the latter by unanimous votes in both Democrat-controlled houses!
Perhaps not coincidentally, Idaho and Montana boast the densest current support for parental rights in the country, in terms of petition signers per congressional district (see the map here). So please urge friends in your area to sign the petition to preserve parental rights! And visit parentalrights.org/resolution to check on efforts where you live. The stronger we grow, the more victories we will see until parental rights are preserved permanently in our U.S. Constitution.
Together we will win the battle to protect children by empowering their parents through the Parental Rights Amendment!
Sincerely,
Michael Ramey
