LAWRENCEBURG, KY (AP) - A former state social worker has been indicted on charges that she faked records in abuse and neglect cases.
An indictment was returned Tuesday against Margaret "Geri" Murphy by an Anderson County grand jury, charging her with nine counts of record tampering in the investigation of suspected abuse and neglect of children.
The Courier-Journal reported that the 60-year-old Murphy declined to comment Tuesday on the charges. The indictment states false records entries were submitted from December 2007 to October 2010.
A summons that Murphy appear in court on Sept. 6 to answer the charges lists a Florida address for her.
The Lexington Herald-Leader obtained Murphy's resignation letter under an Open Record Act request. It did not list a reason for her resignation, which was effective Jan 3.
As if she only faked records for 3 years, and as if she was doing anything out of the ordinary for CPS wenches.
