MICHIGAN CITY | Dunebrook has been awarded a $1,000 grant for Community Partners from the Duneland Exchange Club.

Community Partners, an initiative of the Indiana Department of Child Services, is a short-term home visitation program that is designed to keep children safe and out of the child welfare system. DCS appointed Dunebrook in 2006 to coordinate services for Region 2, which covers LaPorte, Porter, Starke, Newton, Jasper and Pulaski counties. In 2010, Community Partners served 2,057 families throughout Region 2

"The grant from Duneland Exchange Club will help Community Partners in reaching out to more families in Chesterton and Porter. We have worked hard to achieve a 97 percent success rate in helping families who consent to services in creating a service plan with goals. This is a vital first step in helping families move beyond crisis," said Tia Miller, director of Community Partners. FULL STORY

I left a comment there-

This sounds like an excellent program. It sounds like they ARE doing what the usual propaganda claims CPS is SUPPOSED to be doing.

I would hope that by the time a case arrives there, the falsely accused 85% have been filtered out.
