Cell phone video capturing the abuse of a disabled child at an Albuquerque autism facility is now part of a criminal investigation after it was obtained by KOB Eyewitness News 4.
The video shows a former staff member of Camelot of New Mexico kneeing the autistic child in the head. The child then falls over on his side and begins to scream and cry.
Albuquerque police say they have identified the man attacking the child.
“The detective that has been assigned to the case has viewed the video and has determined felony child abuse did occur. Charges are being filed,” Deputy Chief Beth Paiz said.
