Video to Help WV Parents Navigate Child Abuse Legal Proceedings CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) The state Supreme Court is releasing a video to help parents navigate court proceedings involving child abuse and neglect. Posted: 12:33 PM Nov 18, 2010 The state Supreme Court is releasing a video to help parents navigate court proceedings involving child abuse and neglect. The release is part of the court's observance of National Adoption Month. The video, entitled "The Time is Now" explains how the court system and professionals make reasonable efforts to work with parents and to reunite families. It also discusses how parents' rights may be terminated if it's deemed to be in a child's best interest. The video was paid for with a grant from the federal Administration for Children and Families and with matching funds from the state Supreme Court. Highly educational- Sounds friendly! I sure wish it was what really happens. |
