Ohio- It is time to put Families First

As the days go by more and more families within Ohio are affected by the social experiment of shared parenting that has gone woefully bad in Ohios family court system. Fit parents are removed from the childrens lives for no good reason and the children and parents suffer. As a State, we passed legislation because of several dead animals rapidly, while I am very sympathetic to that issue, I have to wonder why we have not afforded similar protects to the families of this state.

If Ohio is the regain it prominence as a National leader this legislation must move forward and move forward quickly.

I am calling on all of you to speak to Senator Mark Wagoner of the Senate Judiciary Committee and to Representative Danny R. Bubp of the House Judiciary and Ethics Committee and ask them to move forward with this legislation now.

To help explain the changes and why we need the changes I have put together a couple videos that explain this legislation.

Ohio is the leader in this area by already introducing these changes and we can show the way for the rest that we do care about our future by making the bills a reality. This is our chance to prove that we do place families first in our Great State but we can not do that if we sit and do nothing with this legislation.

I keep thinking back to what Governor Kasich said in his first State of the State address when he asked all of us to help by posing the question, What can we do to make things better for our families and kids? I did that when I brought bi-partisan support in on these bills but we need follow through from the General Assembly to make that happen now.

The families of the State of Ohio are watching, the Nation is watching; why are we waiting?

  1. Absolutely poor promotion for whatever this is supposed to do. He never really states what and how this bill would achieve its ends, which should leave any member of the legislature wondering why he should think about voting for this.
