Exciting New DVD Serves to Spread the Word
In November, Overruled premiered online, and with your help it has received more than 100,000 views since then. But that is not nearly enough for an issue as vital as preserving the precious parent-child relationship.

Fortunately, we are now rolling out a new tool to help you spread the word. Overruled: Government Invasion of Your Parental Rights is now available on DVD as well!

But these DVDs are not being made available on an individual basis. They’re not here so you can urge your friend to order one. They’re here so you can order 5, 10, 20 or more and hand them out every chance you get. In other words, we’re filling bulk orders only.

I know how it often works. You urge your friends to check out this important movie and they say they will, but then they forget to visit YouTube or OverruledMovie.com and watch it. Well, now you can put a copy in their hand – a physical reminder for them to take the time to look into this vital cause. It can also serve as a tool for you to show it yourself in your home or organization without having to wait on a website.

Those who want an individual viewing of Overruled can watch it online. But those looking for a way to effectively share it with friends, loved ones, spiritual leaders, lawmakers, or any other acquaintance now have this new tool available.

The DVD also provides a high-quality video that television stations and local access companies can start to air in the near future. So be on the lookout for those showings as well. (Or even set one up in your community!)

Overruled: Government Invasion of Your Parental Rights is a 35-minute documentary detailing the current threats to parental rights in America, and telling viewers what can be done to preserve them. The DVD includes not only the 35-minute version, but also the 7-minute, 3.5-minute, and 1-minute trailers, in order to maximize the value of each individual DVD.

To place your bulk order online, visit us here. The videos are offered free of charge, though we suggest a donation of $2-$3 per DVD to help defray the costs of production and shipping. Please commit to distribute as many as you order so that every video can get into the hands of someone else who needs to be awakened to the plight of parental rights in our country!

You’ve been faithful to stand with us in defending parental rights. Now let’s get moving forward by sharing Overruled with family and friends!

Sincerely,

Michael Ramey
Director of Communications & Research

P.S. – Overruled is available free online and on DVD in bulk, but it cost us well over $50,000 to produce – not counting duplication costs and shipping. We will send free copies for as long as we can, but we ask you to please consider helping us underwrite at least the cost of the shipping and duplication when you make requests for copies. Any donations above and beyond this amount will help us with the production costs. Thank you so much!

American Minute with Bill Federer Feb. 7 - Frederick Douglass

American Minute with Bill Federer
Feb. 7 - Frederick Douglass
Frederick Baily was born around FEBRUARY 7, 1817, though no accurate records exist, as he was a slave.

He did not know who his father was, and before being separated from her as an infant, he did not remember seeing his mother in the daylight.

Around 12 years old, his master's sister-in-law taught him to read, despite this being against the law.

Voraciously reading newspapers, books, and a publication titled "The Columbian Orator," Frederick is noted as saying "knowledge is the pathway from slavery to freedom."

Frederick was hired out to the William Freeland plantation where he taught other slaves to read the New Testament at a weekly Sunday school. Enthusiasm in learning to read drew more than 40 slaves to attend.

Neighboring Democrat plantation owners understood that slaves could be more easily manipulated and controlled if they could not read, so one Sunday they burst in with clubs and dispersed Frederick's congregation.

In 1837, Frederick fell in love with Anna Murray, a free black in Baltimore. She helped provide him with a sailor's uniform and some identification papers from a free black seaman, and on September 3, 1838, Frederick escaped by boarding a train to Havre de Grace, Maryland, and from there fled to New York.

Frederick and Anna Murray were married eleven days later by a black Presbyterian minister, and they change their last name from "Baily" to "Douglass" to hide Frederick's former identity.

They joined a black church and regularly attended abolitionist meetings, where, in 1841 they heard William Lloyd Garrison, a founder of the Liberty Party, which was replaced by the Free-Soil Party and then the Republican Party.

When Frederick Douglass was unexpectedly asked to speak, William Lloyd Garrison was so impressed that he eventually hired Douglass to sell subscriptions to the anti-slavery newspaper, The Liberator.

In 1843, Douglass went on a 6-month speaking tour through Eastern and Midwestern States with the American Anti-Slavery Society. He was frequently accosted and even had his hand broken, which never healed properly.

In 1845, Frederick Douglass published his autobiography and it became an instant best-seller, being translated into French and Dutch.

Skeptics could not believe a former slave could have written such an eloquent book, so they began to question Douglass' real identity.

Douglass had to flee to Ireland to avoid slave-catchers.

The Irish were supportive of Douglass, as during the 17th century, more Irish were sold into slavery than Africans, either by British to the Caribbean and American Coast, or by Muslim Corsair pirates to North Africa's Barbary Coast.

Douglass met with Irish reformer Daniel O'Connell, and then traveled to England where English abolitionist friends raised over $700 to buy Douglass' freedom.

Douglass returned to New York where he founded the North Star newspaper and wrote in support of abolition and women's suffrage.

His motto was: "Right is of no sex-Truth is of no color-God is the Father of us all, and we are all Brethren."

He was an advisor to the first Republican President, Abraham Lincoln, even raising the first all Black Regiment, the "54th Massachusetts."

Frederick Douglass stated:

"I am a Republican, a black, dyed in the wool Republican, and I never intend to belong to any other party than the party of freedom and progress."

Douglass told the story of his conversion:

"I loved all mankind, slaveholder not excepted, though I abhorred slavery more than ever. I saw the world in a new light...

I gathered scattered pages of the Bible from the filthy street gutters, and washed and dried them, that...I might get a word or two of wisdom from them."

How Grief Can Break Your Heart

by Joseph Mercola
February 6, 2012

Story at-a-glance
  • Losing a significant person in your life raises your risk of having a heart attack the next day by 21 times, and in the following week by 6 times, new research shows

  • The abrupt increase in risk of cardiovascular events like heart attack following extreme stress may be related to the flood of stress hormones your body is exposed to

  • Stress cardiomyopathy, aka “broken heart syndrome,” which causes many of the same symptoms as a heart attack, is also known to occur shortly following extreme emotional stress

  • If you’re currently grieving or going through any type of emotional stress, it’s important to take steps to support positive mental health, not only for your mind but also for your body
Dying from a broken heart may seem more like a scene from a Shakespearean drama than reality, but extreme grief really can "break" your heart.

In the days after losing someone close to you, your risk of suffering from a heart attack goes through the roof – increasing by up to 21 times!

....It's well known that psychological stress exacts a great physical toll on your health, but new research reveals just how extreme that toll can be FULL STORY

Also see my old essay- CPS in your life will kill you

For the love of federal money is the root of all kinds of evil.

Harvested from the internet today-

New York State is now down to about 25% of foster care cases being eligible for federal reimbursement, but, at least in New York City, most CPS attorneys, and some judges, don't know that not all cases are eligible for federal reimbursement.

So CPS and the judges fight very hard to make a finding of reasonable efforts, believing that getting federal money is one of the functions of the judiciary, worth even the sacrifice of truth and justice.

As Eric says, it doesn't help the state that much, but that doesn't matter to the decision-makers: our state's leaders view foster care as a revenue producer because it brings in federal money.

"For the love of federal money is the root of all kinds of evil."

It doesn't help the child if the state gets more money. It actually hurts the child because the Family Court then is stuck with its finding and won't push for real efforts to be made.

JurisDictionary- Finding Favor with Judges

Lawsuit Self-Help ... Step-by-Step Tips & Tactics
February 06, 2012

© 1997-2012 by Jurisdictionary ® ... All Rights Reserved

Finding Favor with Judges ...
Getting your way the Right Way!

Face it.

Whether it's right or wrong, having a judge rule against you because he doesn't "like" you, isn't a good thing for you!

Why not have the judge "on your side"?

It helps ... a lot!

But!

There's only ONE WAY to get a judge's favor.

Currying favor with flattery doesn't work. Judges get the "sweet treatment" every day. Trying to butter up a judge with flowery words will work against you. The judge won't respect you. The judge will wonder what you're hiding.
"Flattery will get you everywhere" doesn't work in court.

Few judges are fools.

They see through attempts to fan their ego.

They see it as dishonesty.

Learn from Jurisdictionary step-by-stepChallenging the judge's "oath of office" (as some claim is a great idea) won't win points, either. It's far more likely to get you a hard bunk in a steel and concrete room for a few days. It certainly won't make things easier for you!

Nor will arguing over flag etiquette, as many insist is a valid challenge to court jurisdiction. Flags do not create jurisdiction in a court any more than painting my car red makes it a fire-engine!

Court power is conferred by law that has nothing to do with the courtroom flag ... fringe or no fringe!

So, what works?

Simple.

Know what you're doing and do it well! Order the 24-hour Jurisdictionary step-by-step self-help course and learn how other pro se litigants are earning judges' respect and winning!

Don't waste the court's time.
Obey the rules:
  • Rules of Procedure
  • Rules of Evidence.
Imagine sitting on a courtroom bench 10 or 20 years. You've seen it all. You have a full schedule every day. Already this morning you sat through a bitter divorce where neither parent wanted the children. After that you listened to business partners arguing over a dispute they could have avoided by just talking to each other like grown men.

On and on for years and years, trying to resolve disputes peacefully according to law and the rules.

One side always claiming injury.

The other side always whining they aren't responsible.

Real people with real problems you must endure day-in and day-out.

Only one side is right.

The other side is lying right there in front of you and trying to get away with it!

You must sort out their differences and try to reach a decision that's fair and just in the eyes of God.

Then, just after lunch when you wish to take a nap, in struts a pro se litigant with no idea what the rules are or how to use them!

You listen patiently as they rant on about how the bank that's suing them didn't "loan any money".

Or, they insist they aren't who they are because their NAME IS IN ALL CAPITAL LETTERS ON THE COURT PAPERS.

Or, they insist you can't call them by name because they "copyrighted" their name so no one else can use it.

The next case coming up involves a young boy whose mother abandoned him, or a little girl with ugly burn scars on her once-pretty face because of an uncle who thinks it's fun to put out cigars on her cheeks!

And here is a pro se litigant ranting about stuff he or she doesn't remotely understand and has made no genuine effort to learn.

Want to find favor with judges?

Easy!

Learn how to work within the system, instead of trying to make end-runs around the rules with silly games that the judges are quite familiar with already.

Learn how to state your position clearly in writing using properly-drafted pleadings, motions, and memoranda.

Learn why, how, and when to object in court properly with solid grounds for objections the court cannot ignore.

Learn how to examine your own witnesses, using direct examination when you cannot use leading questions.

Learn how to cross-examine your opponent's witnesses in a way that gets answers you need, instead of alienating witnesses with leading questions that pry unnecessarily.

Show the court that you made an effort to learn how to use the rules correctly, instead of wasting everyone's time and patience!

Learn how to use the rules and earn the judge's respect!

The Perversion of the Words of Our Lord Jesus Christ by the Sinner Barack H. Obama

Posted by Erick Erickson (Diary)
Sunday, February 5th at 2:04AM EST

I’m afraid we need a little Sunday morning theology. Hopefully someone at the White House will read this and realize just how ill advised the President was to do what he did this week and we should be praying hard for him to see the error of his ways on this.

.....Had the President of the United States stood at the National Prayer Breakfast and uttered any of those passages and then announced his intent to protect the unborn, abortion rights advocates would have stormed the White House and the Courts all in the name of separation of church and state. The media would have had on Barry Lynn to proclaim his outrage that the President was mixing religion and politics.

Jim Wallis would have gone on the news to dance around life issues and try his best to neuter God out of them and the media would have treated him as an objective source.

But that’s not what happened.

Instead, the President went to the National Prayer Breakfast and quoted Jesus Christ himself to defend a tax increase. The President paraphrased Luke 12:48, “Everyone to whom much was given, of him much will be required, and from him to whom they entrusted much, they will demand the more.” (ESV) He said it was because he was a Christian that he thought the rich should pay more in taxes.

It’s a good thing President Obama did not draw from Matthew 13:12 instead or the poor would really be screwed.

“For to the one who has, more will be given, and he will have an abundance, but from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.” (ESV)

It is worth pointing out that the very same people who would have been outraged had the President quoted clear scripture on life to defend the unborn were willing to be silent or even applaud the President perverting the words of Christ to pursue his tax plan.

....One must wonder about the Christian grounding of the people in the White House who encouraged the President of the United States to pervert the words of the Living God.

What the President seems not to know is encapsulated well by Breeanne Howe here.

Christ was not talking about money. The President, in making the case for his tax plan using that passage of scripture, perverts Christ’s meaning. Christ was talking explicitly about the blessings flowing from God to the apostles and us through the Word and the need to proclaim Christ as the Living God. FULL STORY

Liberty Quotes

"The lesson that Americans today have forgotten or never learned -- the lesson which our ancestors tried so hard to teach -- is that the greatest threat to our lives, liberty, property, and security is not some foreign government, as our rulers so often tell us. The greatest threat to our freedom and well-being lies with our own government!." -- Jacob G. American Minute: Feb. 6 - Ronald Reagan

American Minute with Bill Federer
Feb. 6 - Ronald Reagan
A graduate of Eureka College, IL, 1932, he announced for radio stations in Iowa.

He married Jane Wyman and had children Maureen and Michael.

He was a Captain in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II, then became an actor, appearing in over 50 films.

He was President of the Screen Actors Guild, switched from Democrat to Republican, and became Governor of California.

His second marriage, to Nancy Davis, 1952, had children Patti and Ron.

His name was Ronald Reagan, born FEBRUARY 6, 1911, and died June 5, 2004.

At age sixty-nine, he was the oldest person elected U.S. President, and sixty-nine days after his inauguration, he survived an assassination attempt.

Ronald Reagan stated at St. John's University in New York, March 28, 1985:

"Government that is big enough to give you everything you want is more likely to simply take everything you've got."

Ronald Reagan remarked to the Heritage Council, Warren, Michigan, October 10, 1984:

"Henry David Thoreau was right: that government is best which governs least."

In his 1964 speech, A Time for Choosing, Ronald Reagan stated:

"I suggest to you there is no left or right, only an up or down. Up to the maximum of individual freedom consistent with law and order, or down to the ant heap of totalitarianism;

and regardless of their humanitarian purpose, those who would sacrifice freedom for security have, whether they know it or not, chosen this downward path."

In 1961, Ronald Reagan stated:

"One of the traditional methods of imposing statism or socialism on a people has been by way of medicine. It's very easy to disguise a medical program as a humanitarian project...

James Madison in 1788...said: '...There are more instances of the abridgment of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachment of those in power, than by violent and sudden usurpations.'...

What can we do about this?...We can write to our congressmen and our senators. We can say right now that we want no further encroachment on these individual liberties and freedoms...We do not want socialized medicine...

If you don't, this program I promise you will pass...and behind it will come other federal programs that will invade every area of freedom as we have known...until, one day...we will awake to find that we have socialism.

And...you and I are going to spend our sunset years telling our children and our children's children, what it once was like in America when men were free."

Ronald Reagan stated in Beijing, China, April 27, 1984:

"I have seen the rise of fascism and communism. Both philosophies glorify the arbitrary power of the state...But both theories fail. Both deny those God-given liberties that are the inalienable right of each person on this planet, indeed, they deny the existence of God."

On March 20, 1981, at the Conservative Political Action Conference Dinner, Mayflower Hotel, Washington, DC, Ronald Reagan stated:

"Evil is powerless if the good are unafraid. That's why the Marxist vision of man without God must eventually be seen as an empty and a false faith - the second oldest in the world - first proclaimed in the Garden of Eden with whispered words...'Ye shall be as gods.'

The crisis of the Western world...exists to the degree in which it is indifferent to God."

On May 17, 1982, in a proposed Constitutional Amendment on Prayer in Schools, President Ronald Reagan stated:

"Our liberty springs from and depends upon an abiding faith in God."

President Reagan proclaimed:

"Now, therefore, I, Ronald Reagan, President of the United States of America, in recognition of the contributions and influence of the Bible on our Republic and our people, do hereby proclaim 1983 the 'Year of the Bible' in the United States. I encourage all citizens, each in his or her own way, to reexamine and rediscover its priceless and timeless message."

Ronald Reagan wrote in his article, "Abortion and the Conscience of the Nation" The Human Life Review, 1983:

"Lincoln recognized that we could not survive as a free land when some men could decide that others were not fit to be free and should be slaves...

Likewise, we cannot survive as a free nation when some men decide that others are not fit to live and should be abandoned to abortion."

At the Alfred M. Landon Lecture Series, 1982, Ronald Reagan stated:

"We can't have it both ways. We can't expect God to protect us in a crisis and just leave Him over there on the shelf in our day-to-day living. I wonder if sometimes He isn't waiting for us to wake up, He isn't maybe running out of patience."

At Reunion Arena in Dallas, 1984, Ronald Reagan stated:

"Without God there is no virtue because there is no prompting of the conscience....without God there is a coarsening of the society; without God democracy will not and cannot long endure....

America needs God more than God needs America. If we ever forget that we are One Nation Under God, then we will be a Nation gone under."
