New Video Promotes Parental Rights
It is day 9 of our Summer of 76 campaign, and we are excited to announce the release of a 90-second video trailer promoting the Parental Rights Amendment. What’s more, this is only the first of three exciting new video marketing tools. The full 30-minute docudrama is scheduled to be released in September, with a five-minute version to follow. All three will be free and available online to make it as easy as possible to spread the word about the need to preserve our parental rights.

Here are three crucial things we need you to take action on this week (but act quickly – we have more big news coming in the next few days!):
Action Items
1. We need you to watch this video, even if you’ve already signed the petition. That’s because videos that get watched a lot get more publicity on YouTube. The more we (who are already committed to parental rights) watch this video, the more likely it becomes that people who don’t know anything about our cause will find this video as well. Basically, the more views it gets, the more likely it is to get more views. So please watch it and pass it on!

Then forward the link - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Pk_boYsTC4 - to as many people as you can, any way you can. Post it to Facebook, tweet it on Twitter, blog about it, leave a comment on a blog you frequent and include the link, or simply email it to all of your friends. But please help us spread the word.

2. Speaking of spreading the word, we need you to host an event that can draw people to sign the Parental Rights Amendment petition. You can do this as simply as hosting a yard sale, a bake sale, a car wash, or a lemonade stand. Anything you can do to draw people will provide you with an opportunity to seek petition signers.

We urgently need help with events like these for the balance of July and August in order to draw attention to the Amendment and raise funds for the cause. Both of these are needed to fuel our success in September, when Congress reconvenes and we begin to push the Amendment through the U.S. House of Representatives. Please visit us online here for additional information and to sign up your event.

3. Prepare for Parent’s Day July 24. If you haven’t already done so, check with your congregation’s leadership about posting in your bulletin or handing out a special flier at that weekend’s services. We have a flier already designed and awaiting a couple of last-minute details. It will be available for download next Tuesday.

Please do all you can to spread the word now. Our success in Congress in August and September will be directly proportional to our success in gaining support from our friends and neighbors today!

Sincerely,

Michael Ramey
